Definizione

Financial payments and legal measures intended to recompense victims (or their heirs) of National Socialist and Fascist violence, as well as the act of applying for restitution / indemnification. Such payments are undertaken by governments of both former Axis nations, as well as those of nations occupied by Axis powers during the war that sponsored or endorsed institutions of slave labor. Such distributions include those by private firms which employed forcibly-labored prisoners. Examples of this include financial reparations from the postwar German government and job reinstatement in postwar Italy. (en-US)
