Salonicco (Grecia : ghetto) CercaDefinizione
There was no single Jewish ghetto in Salonika; instead, a directive given on Feb 6, 1943 ghettoized the Jews in a number of districts (including Baron Hirsch, Singro, Aghia Paraskevi, and Rizhi Vardar) already largely inhabited by Jews. The first deportation of Jews from Salonika to Poland was on March 14, 1943. The final deportation from Salonika left on August 7, 1943. (en-US)
