Definizione

A displaced persons camp established on May 1, 1945 by the American occupation forces in the houses and barracks of an elite National Socialist school in Feldafing, a town 35 km. southwest of Munich. This camp was an assembly center and care facility for both Jewish and non-Jewish refugees, most of whom were from eastern Europe. This camp had extensive facilities including schools, synagogues, sportsclubs, a theater, a cinema and a newspaper. It was officially closed in 1953. (en-US)
