Definizione

The Comitato di Liberazione Nazionale (CLN) was the underground government established by the major anti-Fascist political parties in Rome with branches in the cities in northern Italy. It was in effect from September 1943 to June 1945 and Ivanoe Bonomi was the head. The parties involved in the CLN were the Action Party (PdA), the Communist Party (Pci), the Socialist Party (Psi), the Labor Democrats, the Christian Democrats, and the Liberals The CLN directed partisans groups and brigades engaged in resistance activities in the Fascist and German occupied territories.
