The Blozano province lies in the Trentino-Alto Adige region in northern Italy, brodering Austria and Switzerland. The capital city is Bolzano. Before World War I, the province belonged to Austria-Hungary as part of the Austria Tyrol. In 1919 the area was awarded to Italy after the war and it became an Italian province in 1927. (en-US)
