Macedonia (Grecia : Divisione) CercaDefinizione
Located in northeastern Greece, Makedhonía was an interwar division bordering the divisions of Dhitikí Thráki (Western Thrace), Thessalía, Ípiros, and the nations of Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. The provinces were Dráma, Thessaloníki, Kaválla, Kilkís, Kozáni, Pélla, Sérrai, Flórina, Khalkidhikí, and Áyion Óros and the main city was Thessaloniki (Salonika). During WWII, the German armed forces occupied the central and western parts of the division includiing Salonika and Bulgarian armed forces occupied the eastern half.
