Definizione

The Germans operated three concentration/forced labor camps in the area of Gusen, Austria, during World War II. The first, Gusen (later known as Gusen I), opened in March 1940. The second camp, St. Georgen (also known as Gusen II), was formed in March, 1944, and the third, Lungitz (also known as Gusen III), was established in December of the same year. On May 5, 1945, all three Gusen camps were liberated by the United States armed forces. Used when there are two or more localities with the same name and the specific locality could not be determined. (en-US)
