Inmates of Ampfing V were employed as forced laborers for the Organisation Todt (OT) Oberbauleitung (construction firm) of Mühldorf. Inmates of Ampfing V were compelled to build an underground airplane factory and an addition to the forced labor camp, which was designated Ampfing VI. The camp was opened in 1944 and closed in 1945.
