Definizione

Location: Hungarian county bounded by Zemplén county on the northeast, by Szatmár-Bereg-Ugocsa county on the east, by Romania (Transylvania) on the southeast, and by Hajdú county on the southwest. This county was established in 1920, following the Treaty of Trianon. Bearing the double name did not mean that two counties merged into one because the county of Ung had been lost to Czechoslovakia (Podkarpatska Rus) after WWI. Keeping Ung as a part of official name was based on the nostalgic desire to preserve its historic name. County seat: Nyíregyháza (en-US)
