Camp A of the Pustkow forced labor camp for Jews in the Krakow district of the General Government was opened in the summer of 1940 and closed August 8, 1944. Its inmates were contracted out to the following German businesses: AEG, Continental, Krause u. Zeif-Hoch- und Tiefbau, Firma Hartel, Firma Pletz, Firma Sauer, Firma Seibt-Bauunternehmen, Firma Durt Schefer, AGM, Firma Teer-Beton, and Firma Weiss. Prisoners were compelled by these firms to do road and forest work and to maintain German and SS troop facilities. (en-US)
