Hungary and Germany occupy the Yugoslav territory of Bacska (Délvidék) on April 7. Hungary enters the war against the USSR on a limited basis on June 22. Hungary expels refugees and Jews with questionable citizenship to German-held Galicia in July. On August 2, the third anti-Jewish law is issued which prohibits mixed marriages. Jews find themselves in disadvantaged positions in all spheres of life. Hungarian troops participate in the mass killing of Jews in Kamenets-Podolski on August 27-28. (en-US)
