Definizione

In March, Bulgarian police arrest Macedonian and Serbian Jews. Deportations northward take place during March, mostly to Treblinka. In May, Croatia deports 2,000 Jews. When Italian-annexed regions (Dalmatia and part of Slovenia) fall to Germany after September 8, most Jews there survive because they are located in partisan-controlled regions. At the end of November 1943, the second Anti-Fascist Council proclaims Tito premier. (en-US)
