Definizione

In Serbia, interned Jewish women and children are killed between March and May. In August, 5,000 Jews are deported from Croatia to Auschwitz. In Backa (now Hungary), raids during January 21-23 result in the mass slaughter of Jews of Novi Sad, but Hungarian politicians intervene to halt the onslaught. By June, Montenegro is ruled by an Italian-Chetnik alliance. By the end of August, Tito's partisans control most of western and central Bosnia. (en-US)
