On January 10, a decree orders all Jews to register. The Joodse Raad (Judenrat) holds its first meeting February 13, 1941. On February 22, hundreds of Jews are seized and sent to German camps. In response, a spontaneous general strike takes place February 25-26. In August, Jewish liquid assets are taken, and all Jewish children are removed to special Jewish schools. On September 15, Jews are barred from parks and public buildings. (en-US)
